The Amygdaloids are a New York City band made up of scientists who shed their scientific garb at night and take to the stage with songs about love and life peppered with insights drawn from research about mind and brain and mental disorders.

Preview “Things We’ve Learned” by So We Are & the Rock Valley Retinue 

Last summer, So We Are took over a 19th Century one-room schoolhouse in the Catskills (Rock Valley NY) and turned it into a recording studio. Colin Dempsey and Joseph LeDoux were joined by some friends upstate, including Matthew HornCliff Westfall Jeremy Chatzky Julia Greenberg and Don Piper (who played and produced). The result was “Things We’ve Learned” by So We Are & The Rock Valley Retinue. We’ll be doing a record release show at HiFi Bar on Monday Nov 21 at 730p. The record is available from CD Baby.
